Chief Software ArchitectDenver, CO Top Secret/SCI Polygraph Career Level not specified $126,100 - $277,300Job DescriptionThe Opportunity: As the Chief Software Architect on the FADE program you will work across an organization of 100+ talented engineers to build consensus, champion innovation, efficiency, security, resiliency, standardization, and best practices across an interconnected set of client applications and microservices. You'll work with Mission Engineers and Product Owners to develop technical product roadmaps and own the program's system-wide technology roadmap and vision. The Chief Architect works with development teams to define and communicate the technical solutions that meet emerging mission needs and cyber security requirements. This position is both highly technical and customer facing, requiring a unique blend of outstanding technical acumen and strong communication skills.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a technical vision for a cloud-based enterprise-level data analysis platform that supports tens of thousands of usersWork alongside the development teams to evolve the architecture using best of breed capabilities that meet mission demandDirectly interface with the customer to provide technical understanding of the existing system while developing and communicating designs and future roadmapsBuild strong relationships with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure alignment of product roadmap, vision, and strategyOwn, create, and collaborate with others to create software designs and improvements while providing technical leadership and directionReview designs to ensure the system supports scalability, performance, security, modularity, and resiliencyHave a passion for software and a desire to keep informed on new and emerging technologiesDesigning and building client-server architectures for cloud-scale applicationsUse of industry proven open-source applications to support a broad set of application development teamsWhen and why you've utilized licensed COTS applicationsExperience with container technology (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) development and deploymentExamples of technical leadership in cross-functional, highly collaborative environmentsDevSecOps pipeline experience with Configuration Management tools (e.g.

GitLab, ArgoCD, Helm, Nexus, etc. )Your experience with Agile Development Methodologies and modern DevSecOps practicesYour technical background in Software Development and Cloud InfrastructureHow you approach continuous improvement of systems, software, and processesQualifications: Required:Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or related field10+ years of experience in areas such as: software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, data & analytics, etcKnowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) processes, policies, and guidanceExcellent written and verbal communication skillsActive TS/SCI security clearanceDesired:Development experience with large databases and datasetsUnderstanding of zero-trust architecture principlesKnowledge of test automation frameworks and toolsExperience developing/architecting solutions on a public cloud (e.g. AWS, Azure)Experience with document stores and search/indexing technologiesExperience with modern messaging and event streaming technologiesCompTIA Security+ or similar information assurance certification- What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.
