Onsite Full Time Corporate Finance & Strategic Planning

Moceri Management is a highly active, well-established group of real estate management and development companies with a reputation for excellence in our markets. We operate across a complex, multi-entity structure encompassing development, construction, property management, and retail. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join our leadership team and serve as a trusted financial partner to ownership.

The Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity for a highly skilled financial executive with deep real estate accounting and tax expertise to step into a pivotal leadership role. The CFO will manage the full financial function of the organization — from technical accounting and tax strategy to treasury management, project finance, and team development — while working directly alongside ownership to shape the company’s financial future.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with ownership on strategic financial planning, forecasting, and capital allocation across all entities.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, financial statement preparation, and reporting.
  • Develop and monitor company-wide and project-specific budgets and financial models.
  • Lead all tax planning, strategy, and compliance for a portfolio of partnership holding companies and operating entities.
  • Oversee the preparation and filing of federal and state tax returns for all entities.
  • Stay current with corporate tax law changes and related compliance requirements.
  • Implement and manage job costing protocols across active development and construction projects.
  • Manage lender draw processes, loan covenant compliance, and project-level financial reporting.
  • Support due diligence and financial modeling for acquisitions and new development opportunities.

Treasury, Risk & Operations

  • Manage all treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management.
  • Direct the company’s insurance program and risk management strategy.
  • Lead, develop, and mentor the accounting and finance team; oversee general office management, HR administration, and technology systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive finance and accounting experience, with at least 5 years in a senior or executive leadership capacity.
  • Minimum 7 years of direct experience in real estate development and/or construction accounting — this is a firm requirement.
  • Proven expertise in partnership taxation, multi-entity structures, and real estate-specific tax strategies.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience building sophisticated financial models and multi-entity forecasts.
  • Familiarity with AppFolio, Buildertrend, and/or QuickBooks preferred.
  • Strong command of GAAP as applied to real estate, construction, and investment entities.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred but not required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required.
  • Technologically savvy with a demonstrated ability to evaluate and implement financial systems and processes.

Why Join Moceri Management?

  • Join a company with a strong reputation and decades of success in real estate development.
  • Work directly with ownership in a high-visibility, high-impact executive role.
  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
  • A collaborative and entrepreneurial environment where your expertise will make a direct difference.
