We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Chief Engineer to lead our engineering team in Wilmington, DE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all engineering operations, ensuring the maintenance and optimization of equipment and systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support our organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the engineering team to ensure efficient operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and structural systems.
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Oversee troubleshooting, repair, and upgrade activities for all facility systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to support operational needs and project execution.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and vendor relationships related to engineering services and supplies.
• Prepare and present technical reports, maintenance records, and project updates to senior management.
• Lead initiatives to improve energy efficiency and sustainability within the facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering management or a similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage projects, and drive operational excellence.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards applicable to engineering operations.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
