Position: Chemical Technician – Shipping

Location: Danbury, CT

Salary: $55,000 – $65,000 annually with benefits

Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday–Friday, 1:00 PM – 10:00 PM

Shift Differential: Included


Our client, a chemical manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Chemical Technician – Shipping in Danbury, CT.


Pay Rate Range: $55,000 – $65,000 annually, depending on experience


Responsibilities:


  • Requisition and move chemical materials from receiving to shipping and production areas while preparing customer orders for on-time fulfillment.
  • Compound, mix, blend, dispense, fill, label, and package chemical products according to SOPs, GHS requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Collect, label, and prepare samples for quality control inspections using the appropriate equipment and procedures.
  • Verify materials against work orders and shipping documents, including quantities, destinations, routing, and required samples.
  • Prepare bills of lading and other routine shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Receive, unload, inspect, and sample incoming materials while comparing packing slips against purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, shipping and receiving records, databases, and routine reports.
  • Operate pallet jacks, dollies, forklifts, and other loading and unloading equipment as required.
  • Support shipment tracking, proof-of-delivery documentation, and resolution of lost or delayed shipments.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.


Requirements:


  • 2–3 years of hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing, chemical processing, or a related manufacturing environment, including direct chemical handling experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with compounding, blending, mixing, dispensing, filling, labeling, and packaging chemical or formulated products according to SOPs and quality standards.
  • Knowledge of chemical handling procedures, basic analytical techniques, weights and measures, and quality requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately prepare shipping paperwork and verify work orders, quantities, destinations, routing, samples, and inventory records.
  • Ability to safely and efficiently operate or learn to operate pallet jacks, dollies, forklifts, and shipping/receiving software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing and shipping environment while meeting production, quality, safety, and on-time fulfillment requirements.
