CHEMICAL PROCESS ENGINEER

to help us make it happen.
Synthio Chemicals is an early-stage, rapidly growing specialty chemical manufacturer. Unlike the bulk of
the specialty chemical industry, we use continuous flow equipment and process intensification techniques to
produce high-value specialty chemicals for industrial, defense and pharmaceutical markets. Synthio stands at
the vanguard of companies taking novel production techniques from research and moving them to the
production floor.
Responsibilities
• Transition prototype and pilot demonstrations to manufacturing
• Manage process documentation including PFD’s, P&ID’s, automation wiring diagrams, and bills of
materials
• Develop operating procedures for new systems and training operators on new processes and systems
• Conduct and document process hazard analyses and design for process safety
• Interface with vendors and fabricators for material, component, and equipment acquisition
• Assembling, commissioning, and operating prototypes and production hardware, including training
and supervising technicians
• Documenting work, reporting on task progress and communicating results internally and to clients
Requirements
• BS in Chemical Engineering with strong academic performance
• Practical experience in chemical process design and optimization
• Hands-on experience in a process development and/or production environment is highly desired
• Prior experience with instrumentation and automation is a plus
• Sound fundamentals in engineering design and application of PSM and RAGAGEP principles
• Familiarity with design documentation standards for P&IDs
• Familiarity with chemical process safety including hazard identification and risk assessment
methodologies
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and must be able to pass a background check
Details
• Full time, salaried position, $84,000-$105,000 per year depending on qualifications
• Broomfield, CO, 1st shift, flexible work hours
