They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.About The Role:As a CAD Designer at SpaceXAI, you will play a critical role in supporting the design and development of our state-of-the-art data centers and AI infrastructure.
You will create detailed technical drawings, models, and documentation that enable rapid construction, installation, and iteration of complex mechanical, electrical, and architectural systems. Working closely with engineering, construction, and facilities teams, you'll help translate innovative concepts into precise, buildable designs that support SpaceXAI's mission to advance scientific discovery.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain detailed 2D drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD, Revit, and other CAD/BIM softwareCreate layouts and schematics for mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and structural systems in data center environmentsCollaborate with engineers and project managers to incorporate design changes and ensure accuracyProduce construction documents, as-built drawings, and installation detailsManage drawing revisions, version control, and documentation standardsPerform site visits and field verification to ensure drawings reflect actual conditionsSupport multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environmentBasic Qualifications:3+ years of professional CAD design experience, preferably in industrial, data center, or mission-critical facilitiesStrong proficiency in AutoCAD and RevitAssociate degree or higher in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or a related fieldExcellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentationPreferred Skills And Experience:Experience with BIM 360, Navisworks, or other coordination toolsBackground in data center, semiconductor, or heavy industrial designKnowledge of MEP systems, electrical layouts, and structural detailingFamiliarity with construction processes and ability to read/interpret engineering specificationsExperience working in a fast-moving tech or construction environmentAdditional Requirements:Ability to work onsite in Memphis, TN / Southaven, MS areaStrong communication and collaboration skillsComfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly evolving organizationSpaceXAI is an equal opportunity employer.
