PrideStaff is working with a large global provider of thermal solutions, temperature sensing and control solutions, and flex circuit solutions for medical, aerospace, defense, oil and gas, power generation, and other high-reliability applications. Join an experienced team that couples advanced product technologies, expert design and engineering services, and a deep understanding of customers' applications to provide comprehensive solutions that meet exacting requirements for quality, reliability, and performance. The Buyer is a full-time, direct hire position in Fridley, MN.
Buyer Job Responsibilities:
- Source and procure materials, components, equipment, and services in accordance with company policies and specifications
- Evaluate and negotiate pricing, delivery terms, and supplier agreements to ensure best value
- Create and manage purchase orders and maintain accurate records in the ERP or purchasing system
- Monitor supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness) and resolve issues as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments (engineering, production, quality, etc.) to understand material requirements and timelines
- Track and report on key purchasing metrics, including cost savings and supplier performance
- Assist in the identification and qualification of new suppliers
- Support inventory control objectives by maintaining appropriate stock levels
- Maintain compliance with company procurement policies and relevant regulatory standards
Buyer Job Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Associate or bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 2+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience (preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment)
- Proficiency with ERP or purchasing systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.)
- Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze data and make strategic buying decisions
- Detail-oriented with a sense of urgency and problem-solving mindset
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality standards is a plus
- Preferred Skills (Not Required):
- CPM or CPSM certification
- Experience with international suppliers and import/export processes
- Technical understanding of raw materials, components, or industrial supplies
