Transformation Partner RoleThis contractor role will act as a hands-on transformation partner to the Head of Operations. You will lead and support multiple operational improvement initiatives, working directly with engineering, production, procurement, facilities, and leadership teams. This is not a theoretical role - success requires the ability to assess current-state realities, design practical solutions, and actively drive implementation in a fast-changing, engineering-driven environment.ResponsibilitiesAssess and document current-state processes across R&D and operational functionsIdentify inefficiencies, duplication, and gaps in accountabilityDesign future-state processes aligned with best practices and organizational scaleDevelop clear process documentation including: Process maps and flowcharts, Standard Work Instructions (SWIs), Procedures and operating guidelinesDrive action plans to close process gaps and support adoptionIndependently design and facilitate workshops (e.g., process improvement, role clarity, system adoption)Engage cross-functional stakeholders to drive alignment and ownershipInfluence outcomes through strong facilitation, storytelling, and data-driven insightsCreate executive-ready materials and updates for senior leadershipTranslate complex operational topics into clear, concise messagingPrepare recurring operational review content and ad-hoc analysesSupport administration of operational KPIsSupport deployment and adoption of modern business toolsAssist with tool configuration, governance models, and training materialsAct as a bridge between end users, leadership, and IT/system ownersWork closely with Engineering, Production, Procurement, Facilities, and Corporate teamsEnsure processes and tools support seamless cross-functional operationsNavigate cultural, functional, and geographic differences effectivelyRequirements5+ years of relevant experience (10+ years strongly preferred)Demonstrated experience in: Business process improvement, Operational transformation, Working within engineering or R&D organizationsExperience in automotive, manufacturing, or industrial environments strongly preferredDesired Software & Technical ProficiencyMicrosoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Advanced Excel skills; strong PowerPoint storytelling, PowerBI, monday.com (or similar Work OS / PPM platforms), Jira, Confluence and/or Notion, SAP (working knowledge; not required to be a functional expert)EducationBachelors degree in EngineeringAdditional Desired AttributesPrevious experience working with or within a Korean company or business cultureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsProven ability to influence without direct authorityComfortable operating in ambiguity and rapidly changing environmentsWe offer attractive, competitive compensation and benefits including, medical, dental, 401k, short-term disability, AD&D, tuition reimbursement, and more.
