Business-Oriented Enterprise ArchitectZolon is seeking a Business-Oriented Enterprise Architect who can assist in establishing a comprehensive understanding of the client's core business processes and direct, plan, and control the development of technology that supports and optimizes such processes. The Business-Oriented Enterprise Architect should know about designing artifacts in support/compliance of Federal Enterprise Architecture (FEA) and Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) or similar methods.Responsibilities include:Establishing a comprehensive understanding of MRDC's core business processesDirecting, planning, and controlling the development of technology that supports and optimizes such processesUpdating existing EA frameworks, models, and domain documentationResearching specific technology trends and making recommendations for updates to the EA future-stateEnsuring projects follow defined EA processes and working with project and domain teams to help create the necessary EA documentation for alignmentEstablishing and maintaining relationships with a variety of internal and external IT experts and project managers to provide leadership and technical guidanceCreating or updating existing Department of Defense Architectural Framework (DoDAF) views, models, and documentation using IBM System ArchitectEnsuring compliance with DoD Business Capability Acquisition Cycle (BCAC) standardsAiding MRDC customers in creating and reviewing Initial and/or Capabilities Requirement Documents (IRDs, CRDs) and other requirement documentsAiding MRDC customers in IT Analysis of AlternativesDelivering high-quality implementation of the defined solution to facilitate the realization of organizational benefitsManaging the appropriate governance forums to ensure the agreement and maintenance of the overall Enterprise ArchitectureResponsible for the definition, design, and interpretation of technical architecture artifacts taken from user requirements specifications or in direct discussions with the business, to create a solutions architecture to meet business requirementsProven track record of driving and leading large-scale architectural projects throughout an entire business through to completionExperience:5 years of hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of working within Enterprise Architecture environmentsExperience in all aspects of the software development lifecycleEducation:B.S. in Information TechnologyLocation: Fort Detrick, MD (onsite)Security Requirements: Must have a Tier 3 (T3) investigation and must obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance before performing work on this task order.

Information Assurance (IA) and Information Technology (IT) Training Security + CE Certification required day one. Must comply with DoD and Army training requirements in Computing Environment certification meeting DOD -M and IAT Level I.
