Business Litigation AssociateThe Delaware office of Kaufman Dolowich, a full-service National Law firm with more than 250 attorneys across 16 offices and over 25 practice areas, is actively seeking a Business Litigation Associate to join the team.This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside experienced litigators on sophisticated business and civil litigation matters in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. Our attorneys receive meaningful hands-on experience, direct client interaction, and strong mentorship while representing businesses, insurers, professionals, and corporate clients in a broad range of complex disputes.Associates are given the opportunity to take an active role in all phases of litigation, including case strategy, motion practice, depositions, court appearances, mediations, and trial preparation. The ideal candidate will be a motivated attorney who is eager to develop litigation skills, assume increasing responsibility, and build a successful long-term practice within a growing national law firm.Practice ExposureOur Delaware office handles a diverse range of sophisticated litigation matters, including:Directors & Officers (D&O) liabilityInsurance coverage litigationEmployment litigationProfessional liability defenseCivil rights litigationReal estate disputesCommercial and contract litigationComplex business disputesResponsibilitiesAssist with all phases of complex civil litigation from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, legal memoranda, and discovery responsesConduct legal research and prepare persuasive written advocacyManage and coordinate discovery, including e-discoveryParticipate in depositions, court appearances, mediations, hearings, and other litigation proceedingsCommunicate directly with clients and provide strategic guidance and regular case updatesCollaborate closely with attorneys across offices and practice groups on complex litigation mattersHandle sophisticated and high exposure matters with professionalism and attention to detailQualificationsAdmission to practice in Delaware requiredMinimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience, preferably in defense litigation, commercial litigation, or complex business disputesStrong legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skillsExperience managing discovery and e-discovery processesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced litigation environmentStrong organizational, case management, and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:Admission to the Maryland and/or Washington, D.C.
