Business Development ManagerHill International is seeking a Business Development Manager in Seattle, Washington. This opening requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about business development, including assisting in the identification and pursuit of business opportunities, establishing positive client relationships through effective client meetings and networking, developing & maintaining competitor knowledge, developing win strategies for targeted opportunities, leading proposal and interview preparation, helping identify strategic hires, and maintaining ongoing client relationships. The focus will be agency construction management and owner's representative services in both the public and private sectors for both buildings and infrastructure markets.ResponsibilitiesIdentifying & Pursuing Opportunities:Understand Hill's target markets, resources and servicesIdentify business opportunities in targeted markets consistent with our business strategyAssist in developing client and opportunity strategiesWork with the team to position for targeted pursuitsEstablishing Positive Client Relationships:Ability to continue the growth of client base, teaming partners and overall office networkIdentify and effectively participate in industry networking opportunitiesContacting potential clients to establish rapportArrange client meetingsIdentify key issues important to clientsDocument client meetings using Hill templatesExperience with client interface through attendance at conferences, meetings, and industry eventsCompetitor Knowledge:Strong research skills identifying competitive analysis, public documents, and market research for private clientsPartner with business development team to develop pursuit plans and needed marketing materialUnderstand strengths and weaknesses of competitorsInform win strategy development based on competitive intelligenceDeveloping Win Strategies:Experience developing firm qualifications and proposal packagesUnderstand client procurement processes and identification of decision makers will bePartner with team to develop clear understanding of client decision driversWork as part of the team and assist in leading the development of win strategies focused on the best approach to deliver client valuePlanning and overseeing new marketing initiativesQualificationsBA or BS, preferably in Communication, Business, Architecture, Planning or Construction Management5+ years of experience in Marketing or Business Development role for a professional services firm, preferably with specific Construction Management experienceStrong project management skillsEstablished industry network of client and AEC contactsExcellent verbal, written and presentation communication skillsMotivated, results-driven individual passionate about fostering good client relationships and promoting positive work relationships within our organizationBring familiarity with local market, clients and competitorsTravel as neededExpertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required, Adobe InDesign a plusThe salary range for this position is $130,000-$160,000.
