General duties may include conducting research, making initial and follow up contacts, development of qualifications statements and proposals and undertaking other tasks that will lead to new business opportunities.Job ResponsibilitiesConducts appropriate research to identify target companies/organization within industry segments denoted in business unit planContacts, qualifies, and sets appointments with targets via telephone and electronic meansProvides targets with appropriate Haskell marketing material and responses to specific interests identified by targetsVisits qualified targets and/or arranges for personal sales calls by appropriate Haskell personnelPrepares qualifications statements and assists in preparing responses to proposals for specific projectsDevelops and maintains relationships with local and national civic, professional and economic organizations that are sources of prospectsMaintains up-to-date prospect files and electronic databasesDevelops and manages a public relations programRepresents Haskell at trade shows, conventions and professional meetingsTakes other steps as directed by the Director of Business Development to assist in securing additional projectsEducation/Experience4+ years of relevant experience in a related field, e.g.
architecture, engineering, construction, sales and marketingTo thrive in this role, you'll need:Demonstrated experience within the aviation and aerospace industryProven success in sales, business development, and client prospectingExperience within the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry strongly preferredEnvironmental Factors and/or Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
