nOVERVIEW
nBuilding Engineers will operate and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on commercial equipment and large building systems such as mechanical, electrical, plumbing, lighting, HVAC/R, Chilled Water Systems, Boilers, Air Handling Units, Rooftop Units, Building Automation Systems, Fire System Controls and other building systems to ensure optimal conditions.
nThis role is a 2nd shift opportunity at our James Ford Bell Technical Center in Golden Valley, MN.
nThis role provides the candidate the opportunity to work 4 - 10-hour shifts (Tuesday-Friday) or 5 - 8-hour shifts (Monday-Friday).
nKEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
nEnsure facility is in a safe operating condition; conduct preventative and reactive maintenance; and resolve immediate operational and building safety concerns
nRegularly inspect and conduct preventive tests to ensure proper working condition of equipment and overall operational infrastructure
nTroubleshoot, diagnose, and repair or replace failures
nCoordinate maintenance work provided by vendor partners; both for equipment warranty, preventive and corrective work; inspect completed repairs to ensure proper operation
nSupport or lead special projects related to improvement of building operations and efficiencies
nHVAC troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
nDDC trouble shooting and repair
nRefrigeration troubleshooting and system repairs
nBasic knowledge and use of Building Automation for equipment monitoring and controls
nBasic plumbing knowledge with ability to complete repairs such as plumbing fixture, drain maintenance, and valve repair/replacement
nInspection and Maintenance of cafe/kitchen equipment
nManage vendors and maintenance of elevators, fire life safety devices, UPS and other systems
nAccess Door and Overhead Door repair/adjustment
nObtain and compare estimates for work to be performed by outside vendors
nEnsure that all customer complaints are handled professionally and in a timely manner
nOther duties and responsibilities as assigned
nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
nCompletion of HVAC/R or Facilities Maintenance program from accredited school
n2 years' experience in facilities/maintenance role or similar work on HVAC/refrigeration equipment
nUniversal CFC Certification
nBasic computer proficiency (Word, Outlook, Smartphone)
nIndependent and collaborative work, requiring strong communication and interpersonal skills
nAbility to work at heights using ladders or similar tools
nAbility to lift, push, pull or move a minimum of 50 pounds
nSpecific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
nAbility to work under pressure and time deadlines
nParticipate in On-Call rotation schedule as assigned
nPREFRRED QUALIFICATIONS
nMaintenance Electrician License
n2nd Class C Minnesota State Boiler License
nKnowledge of work order process or management tool

nSALARY RANGE
nThe salary range for this position is:
n$57,700 - $79,450 Annual

The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
