Job TitleThis position will work with our clients and bridge team leader to design and detail plans on a variety of projects on Local State and County highways including bridge rehabilitation/replacements and culvert projects.Key ResponsibilitiesApply broad knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.Evaluate, select and adapt standard techniques, procedures and criteria to solve technical issues.Design complete projects, systems, components or processes.Prepare basic and advanced engineering designs and/or technical data for completion and accuracy.Coordinate with other team members to ensure project success.Provide advanced judgement and analysis techniques to prepare complete project documents including design reports and final plan sets.Analyze and interpret data, formulate and solve problems.Interpret and follow scopes of work, budgets, and schedules, completing projects within budget and on time.Assist with proposal development for professional services.Perform field investigations/site visits as needed and prepare reports.This position is open to the following office locations; please indicate which office you would prefer when filling out an application:Albany, NYBinghamton, NYHorseheads, NYRochester, NYQualificationsBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering requiredMinimum four (4) years' experience (with at least 2 in direct bridge design tasks), preferably with EIT (PE is a plus)Strong knowledge and experience in local and state bridge rehabilitation/replacement projects, culvert projects, and NYSDOT Specifications/ detailsMicrostation/Open Roads Designer experience is a mustKnowledge of bridge design software a plus.Good technical writing and communication skillsKnowledge in plan, specification and estimate preparationSelf-motivated, organized, and open to learning new and innovative design procedures and methodsBenefitsPaid HolidaysPTODental, Health, and Vision InsuranceFSA/ HSALife Insurance401(K) planContinuing Education SupportAbout HUNTHUNT is a full-service A/E Firm with offices located in Albany, NY, Binghamton, NY, Horseheads, NY, Rochester, NY, Towanda, PA, and Williamsport, PA.
