From day one, we invest in your growth and your future, while giving back to the communities we serve.About the JobThe Branch Operations Manager (BOM) is responsible for ensuring the success of the branch operation and also has responsibility and accountability for driving safety, controlling costs, managing the branch operations workforce, and efficiently managing the inventory.

Success will be accomplished through value driven execution that fully complies with WS policies and all relevant laws and regulations. The Branch Operations Manager will maintain excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, and strive for high customer satisfaction.What You'll Be DoingOperations:Provides direct and indirect managerial oversight to branch operational employees to include, as applicable: Production Supervisors, Shop/Yard Labor, Field Service, Dispatchers/Transportation Coordinators, Drivers, Branch CoordinatorManages tasks, daily assignments and other daily duties for temporary workers and contractors as appropriateEmploys timely and clear communication to all branch employeesUtilizes all internal systems to provide safe, timely, cost effective, high quality and efficient delivery of revenue activitiesManages cost through the oversight of ongoing maintenance, inventory and servicing of the fleet through efficient use of company resources (time, people, money, etc.)Utilizes forward looking planning tools and budgets; actively manages costsEnsures timely and accurate work order, off rent/damage bill, inventory and purchasing complianceEnsures accurate and readily available parts, VAPS and other resources necessary to conduct efficient operationsCollaborates with HR and leadership to effectively manage & develop the branch workforce, ensuring the right recruiting and workforce training strategies are in place to advance company goalsAssesses talent, implements employee development plans and creates and maintains a learning environmentProactively seeks out top talent externally to maintain a robust pool of qualified talentEfficiently manages and utilizes all aspects of logistics including safety, resources, DOT, route efficiencyProduction:Ensures all off-rents are conducted within the determined timeline; units returned are thoroughly inspected for work order accuracy and capture any damage billing where appropriateRelocates idle fleet and conduct work order assessment as requiredConducts fleet physical inventory counts at established frequenciesDemonstrates an understanding of the Work Order system and the drivers that impact inaccuracies, develops a strategy to ensure variances are minimal by ensuring work orders for idle fleet are accurateIssue and track vendor purchase ordersOrders, receives, and distributes materials/VAPS to work teams/vendors on a timely basis to support unit completion requirementsConducts parts and VAPS inventory countsFocuses on driving first-time quality and reducing service calls, communicates with shop personnel to conduct root cause analysis and creates permanent corrective actionsCustomer Service:Utilize the Net Promoter Score (NPS) feedback to communicate timely and identify process improvement opportunitiesEnsure On Time Deliveries, Returns, Relocations and ServiceDrive high levels of product quality (First Time Quality)Commercial readiness through operations excellenceEducation and QualificationsRequirements:High School Diploma, GED, or 3 years of applicable experience5 years experience managing one or more direct reports in a Service Shop/Manufacturing/Building Construction environment OR 2 years of experience with WillScotExperience managing a unit or departmental budget OR 2 years of experience with WillScotMS Office/Excel/Word/Outlook experienceAbility to follow direction and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentExperience applying creativity to problem-solvingBuild sustainable relationships and trust with vendors through open, proactive communicationAbility to effectively manage multiple, changing priorities in a fast-paced environmentPreferred:Bachelors DegreeExperience working with customersExperience with Salesforce.com, SAP, Tableau, Hyperion, Teams/Zoom or SmartsheetsExperience in areas including fleet management, logistics, inventory, dispatching building codes/permittingPersonal Characteristics:Lead by example through living our values: Dedicated to Health & Safety Committed to Inclusion & Diversity Driven to Excellence Trustworthy & Reliable Devoted to Our Customers Community FocusedThis posting is for a(n) Existing Position.
