Job TitleBilingual Universal BankerJob DescriptionThis position is responsible to effectively and efficiently process customer transactions in a Branch environment, and provide appropriate recommendations to customers who may need guidance in identifying the right financial solutions for their financial needs in order to build long-term mutually beneficial relationships, achievement of business objectives, and increased awareness of ESL's self-service and digital service offerings.AccountabilitiesESL is currently seeking a Bilingual Universal Banker for our Goodman Street office to provide excellent customer service through identifying member needs and completing transactions, while building relationships, achieving sales goals and creating a positive experience. In this position you will learn a variety of banking functions by conducting both Teller and Relationship Banker responsibilities.As a Universal Banker at ESL you will:Create a positive face to face member experienceBuild long lasting relationships with membersWork in either a Teller or Relationship Banker position depending on the branch needsAssist members with processing financial transactions including payments, deposits and withdrawals in a timely mannerHelp members recognize and obtain the most appropriate solutions for their financial needsEducate and Refer a variety of products and services to membersAssist members with accounts, loans and maintenanceLearn about the banking and finance industryGain exposure to career opportunities at ESLQualificationsOne year in sales/service in the financial services or comparable industryHigh School diploma or High School equivalency diploma requiredBilingual English/ Spanish Speaking proficiency requiredStrong, communication, problem solving and decision making abilitiesPrior Sales Experience preferredA high degree of flexibility to support branch needsProficient in building customer and peer relationshipsProficient in PC applicationsUnderstanding of banking products and services preferredNotary preferred; if not obtain within 12 months of filling roleMust complete submission of application and fingerprinting to the NMLS (Nationwide Multisite Licensing System) and successfully be registered as an MLO (Mortgage Loan Originator) through ESLDemonstrates alignment with ESL's Core Values, mission, vision, and Purpose to help our community thrive and prosperESL is one of the largest and most successful federal credit unions in the country.
