Job Summary: We are in search of a skilled Business Intelligence Data Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, developing, and managing data solutions using a variety of technologies. This position requires a deep understanding of data architecture principles, proficiency in BI technologies, and the ability to align data strategies with business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic data architecture plans.
  • Design and construct large and complex data sets from diverse sources, considering strategic data usage and design interactions.
  • Implement AI and ML algorithms to support data analysis initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain Business Intelligence (BI) interfaces, including query tools, data visualization, interactive dashboards, ad hoc reporting, and data modeling tools.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand requirements and develop BI solutions.
  • Translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Design, build, and deploy BI solutions such as BI dashboards.
  • Maintain and support data analytics platforms.
  • Create tools for data storage, such as OLAP cubes.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing BI systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
  • Develop and execute database queries and analyses.
  • Create visualizations and reports for projects.
  • Develop and update technical documentation and data dictionaries.
  • Develop and maintain ETL processes.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing data architecture.

    Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of commercial experience.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
    • Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Architect.
    • In-depth understanding of database management systems, OLAP, and ETL frameworks.
    • Familiarity with cloud platforms and big data tools.
    • Experience in Wellness, Fitness, Cruise, Travel, or Hospitality industries preferred.
    • Experience working with global teams.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • Proficiency in SQL queries, SSRS, and SSIS.
    • Experience with data modeling techniques and BI technologies (e.g., Power BI, Oracle BI).
    • Knowledge of Qlik Technologies products is a plus.
    • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) and AI/ML technologies.
    • Experience with Python is a plus.
    • Commercial thinking with a pragmatic approach.
