We are looking for an experienced engineering leader to help us design and improve customer membership experience and build scalable Web platforms. We are just getting started on membership experience and this is a very critical role to shape the face of Client +.What You’ll Do:Troubleshoot business and production issues for Web applications by reviewing and analyzing informationEngage support teams to assist in the resolution of found issuesPerform a root cause analysis across multiple Web browsers to prevent future occurrenceDevelop innovative Web technology solutions and strategies to support business objectives by collaborating with cross-functional business partnersDeveloping assessments of key opportunitiesBenchmarking and analyzing industry best practicesForecasting for future technologies driving high-priority initiativesIdentifying and implementing solutions communicating with and influencing decision-makers and executives within the organizationInfluencing the industry to adopt sustainable solutions and defining software development guidelines, standards, and processes.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine project requirementsTranslating requirements into Web solutions for front-end systemGathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames)Writing and developing code (for example, React/Type Script) that can be applied to multiple types of Web browsersDeveloping user interface solutions conducting testing to ensure solution is functionalCommunicating project status and roadblocks to team members and stakeholdersDetermining solutions to issuesEnhancing design to prevent reoccurrence of defects across multiple devicesEnsuring on-time delivery and collaborating with project managers to provide guidance on project implementation plan.Remove barriers and obstacles that impact performanceProviding resources identifying performance standardsMeasuring progress and adjusting performanceDeveloping contingency plans and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.Promote and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and applicationEnsuring compliance with them and utilizing and supporting the Open-Door Policy.Ensure business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiativesConsulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholdersSoliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness and participating in and supporting community outreach events.Design, develop SPLUNK and Prometheus dashboards to monitor the W+ platform and BE services (written in Node, Java) performance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine project requirementsTranslating requirements into BE (Java, Node languages based) solutions for W+ platformGathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements, wire frames)Writing and developing code (for example, Node, Java)Conducting testing to ensure solution is functionalCommunicating project status and roadblocks to team members and stakeholders.Requirements:BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject5+ years of professional experience in various elements of full stack software development – native mobile, back end (JAVA or Node), and hands-on coding experience in the pastExperience with a consumer facing Web app and ecommerce or retail shoppingHands-on experience building scalable backend systems and platformsPrevious knowledge of:Designing and developing advanced applications for the Web platformUnit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresExperience with bug fixing and improving application performanceWork with outside data sources and APIsExperience with the agile methodology ScrumContinuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiencyProven software development experience backend using Java or Node.Experience translating wireframes into pixel-perfect viewsKnowledgeable about animation and screen transitionsHave published at least one original Web appExperience with Web Api, Services, and various methods of background processingExperience working with remote data via REST, JSON, Google Cloud Messaging, and the HTTP protocolExperience with third-party libraries and APIsExperience with analysis of memory issues using Web analytics tools, e.g. Light houseWorking knowledge of the general Web landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologiesSolid understanding of the full Web development life cycle and writing readable, maintainable, performant object-oriented codeExperience working with Java, Spring Boot, Functional Testing, and other architecturesExperience working with an orchestration Layer and GraphQLExperience operating in an Agile
