Remote Contract General

Salary: $85,000 - 109,000 per year Requirements:

  • Significant experience developing backend APIs for web client applications.
  • Strong knowledge of server-side languages and frameworks, preferably Python and Flask.
  • Experience designing, implementing, and integrating web APIs such as GraphQL or REST.
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming methodologies.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, or Redis.
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies, including HTML5 and JavaScript or TypeScript.
  • Familiarity with single-page application frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.
  • Comfort working in a Linux development environment.
  • Strong understanding of computer security principles.
  • Interest in problem-solving and continuous learning.
  • Experience with test-driven development and testing frameworks.
  • Experience integrating external APIs and third-party libraries.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and solve significant problems with minimal direction.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment is a plus.
  • A bachelors degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math is preferred.
  • High personal integrity, a team-first mindset, and the ability to work effectively on a fully remote team in a high-tech environment.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen due to our federal contracts.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop scalable backend services for new customer-portal capabilities, integrating with internal systems and reliably processing large volumes of operational data.
  • Write clear, maintainable, high-performance code.
  • Participate in code reviews to help maintain a high-quality codebase.
  • Translate complex requirements into clear designs and contribute to design reviews and change planning.
  • Help define new products and engineer services for our customer-facing portal.
  • Integrate services with our core engine and networking systems.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to deliver reliable, high-performance applications.
