AWS Data ArchitectLocation: Montpelier Vermont or Dublin Ohio (100% Onsite)Duration: FTE OnlyJob Description:As AWS Architect, you are responsible for the design and implementation of data warehouse solutions for all the reporting and analytical needs for our customers. This includes supporting traditional reporting and more advanced analyses based on artificial intelligence and machine learning. You start by developing a solution blueprint for the architecture.Expertise Required:Overall 12+ years of Total IT experience with Minimum of 5 years of AWS cloud expExpert in AWS cloud technologies (AWS Services such as Redshift, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, SQS/SNS, Network setup, IAM and Integration with Active directory, masking and encryption, Governance tools – Lineage, Catalog, classifications.

Infrastructure setup, Snowflake)Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing, enterprise environmentsUnderstanding of database and analytical technologies in the industry including Data lake, Data Warehouse design, BI reporting, Dashboard development.Extensive hands-on experience in data warehousing design, tuning and ETL/ELT process development along with excellent Change Data Capture methodologies understandingStrong experience with designing and engineering performance with Relational Databases, SQL and ETL/ELT tools/processesStrong experience with Data modeling to create Relational Data Warehouse modelSeasoned Python programming skillsOne of the AWS Associate level certifications or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.Certified Scrum MasterResponsibilities:Facilitate daily call with team to discuss status, questions, knowledge transfer. Assist with documenting needs, actions items. Manage each project’s scope and timelineCoordinate daily stand-ups, planning, and retrospective meetingsMentor team members in Agile frameworksFacilitate internal communication with various stakeholders and effective collaborationBe the point of contact for external communications (e.g.

from end customers or stakeholders) as requiredWork with product owners to handle & prioritize backlogs and new requestsResolve conflicts and remove blockers that occur. Help teams implement changes effectivelyEnsure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint.Guide development teams to higher scrum maturity. Help build a productive environment where team members ‘own’ the product and enjoy working on itAssist with creation of a robust, sustainable architecture that supports requirements and provides for expansion with secured accessWork with customers, end users, technical architects, and application designers to define the data requirements and data structure for BI/Analytical solutionsManaging customer expectation and business user interactions would be a key responsibilityDesigns conceptual and logical models for the data warehouse or data mart (data structure, storage, and integration).

Lead the database analysis, design, and implementation effortCommunicates physical database designs to lead data architect / database administratorEvolves models to meet new and changing business requirementsWork with business analysts to identify and understand requirements and source data systemsDesign maps of source system data to data warehouse modelsDevelop and test extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processesDefine and capture metadata and rules associated with ETL/ELT processesEnsure that the database designs fulfill the requirements, including data volume, frequency, and long-term BI/Analytics growth requirementsWork with other architects to ensure that all components work together to meet objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirementsParticipate in code and quality management reviewsProvide operational support for Management Information Systems (MIS)
