Job Description
Position Title: Avionics Technician III
Position Description: Protingent Staffing has an exciting contract opportunity located in Broomfield, CO
Job Responsibilities:

• Install, inspect, test, adjust, and repair avionics equipment and systems while performing equipment setup and maintenance activities
• Use precision measurement tools to fabricate fixtures for use, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry, and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes
• Adhere to general best shop practices, including PPE and shop safety requirements, demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware.
• Apply 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness in your daily tasks, collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to project timelines, and document and report any issues or discrepancies found during inspections and tests.

Job Qualifications:

• Typically 5+ years of related experience.
• Familiarity with general best shop practices including PPE and shop safety requirements.
• Ability to perform basic equipment setup and maintenance activities and display general mechanical aptitude and hand tool competency.
• Able to use precision measurement tools and fabricate fixtures for use, including non-flight parts with standard alloys and simple geometry.
• Ability to learn and perform precision cleaning and chemistry processes.
• Ability to learn 5S, FOD, and ESD awareness.
• Ability to demonstrate correct packaging and handling requirements for all hardware.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Formal training, degree, or certification in avionics, electronics, or a related technical field.
• Certification: Airman's certificate, FCC license, or IPC level certification.
• Experience with avionics systems and equipment, including but not limited to navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with avionics testing equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
• Knowledge of software tools for diagnostics and troubleshooting of avionics systems.
• Understanding of RF (Radio Frequency) principles and their application in avionics systems.
• Experience with soldering and crimping techniques for avionics wiring and connectors.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

• Pay Rate Range: $25-32/hr
