This role focuses on system integration, SCADA/MES platforms, robotics, and AGV systems, supporting enterprise-level initiatives and cross-functional automation strategies.Job Responsibilities:Design, develop, and integrate automation systems across PLC, SCADA, and enterprise platformsImplement and support Ignition-based SCADA/MES solutionsIntegrate systems using OPC UA, MQTT, SQL, APIs, and related technologiesLead integration of robotics and AGV/AMR systems into plant workflowsConfigure and support robotic systems (e.g., Yaskawa Motoman / MLX)Support commissioning, validation, and optimization of complex automation systemsCollaborate with IT/OT, operations, engineering, and third-party vendorsEnsure alignment with enterprise automation standards, cybersecurity, and safety requirementsLead or support multi-site automation and digital transformation initiativesRequired Qualifications:3 years of relevant experience (a combination of education and experience equivalent to 3 years in a related field will be considered.)Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience with industrial automation and control systems in a manufacturing environmentPLC programming experience (Allen-Bradley, Siemens)Experience with SCADA systems and system integration conceptStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Ignition SCADA / MES platform experienceExperience with system integration (OPC UA, MQTT, SQL, REST APIs)Experience working with robotics (Yaskawa Motoman / MLX preferred)Experience integrating AGVs/AMRs and material handling systemsKnowledge of industrial networking and cybersecurity practicesExperience supporting enterprise or multi-site automation projectsCore Competencies:Advanced technical expertise in automation and system integrationAbility to lead complex technical initiatives and cross-functional collaborationStrong communication and technical documentation skillsStrategic thinking with a focus on scalable solutionsContinuous improvement and innovation mindsetKey Competencies:Build Customer SatisfactionInitiate ActionAdapt and ChangeInnovateCoach and SupportDeliver Compelling CommunicationWork Shift: 8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AMShaw Industries is an equal opportunity employer as to all protected groups, including protected veterans and individuals with disabilities.
