Automation EngineerWe are seeking an experienced onsite Automation Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated systems and processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costs. The Automation Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations.
This position requires the ability to travel internationally for training purposes. The ideal candidate will be open to immersing themselves in different cultures and working collaboratively with teams from around the world to gain a comprehensive understanding of our business and industry. This training can last between 2-6 weeks.Your Tasks ResponsibilitiesDesign and implement automated systems and processes to optimize production efficiency and reduce costsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline operations.Develop and maintain control systems for automated equipment.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automated systems and equipment.Participate in the development and implementation of new products and processesConduct regular maintenance and upgrades to automated systems and equipmentCreate and maintain documentation related to automation processes and systemsTrain and mentor other team members on automation processes and systemsYour Profile Qualifications5-7 years of experience in automation engineeringExperience with Siemens TIA Portal, WinCCExperience with Server-Client architecture Industrial communication Profinet, Modbus, OPC-UA etcWorking with OT/IT interface, OSI PI systemExperience with automation software and hardware systems, such as PLCs, HMIs, and SCADAProficient in programming languages such as C++, Java, or PythonExperience with robotics, motion control, and vision systemsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsStrong communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
