Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician IILocation: Rockville, MD Pay: $33.65–$40.87/hour Job Type: Full-TimePosition OverviewM Force Partners is seeking an experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II to support the development of automated manufacturing systems and production equipment. This Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II role will perform technician-level engineering activities including assembly, testing, troubleshooting, calibration, prototyping, and system integration while supporting engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.The ideal Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician II will have strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, experience building and troubleshooting control systems, and the ability to work independently on complex automation and prototype projects.Key ResponsibilitiesAssemble, test, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electronic and electro-mechanical systemsBuild and wire complex control panels and automated systems from engineering drawings and schematicsDesign, fabricate, and assemble test fixtures and prototype equipmentSource electronic and mechanical components based on engineering specificationsLead or support development of assembly, testing, calibration, and repair proceduresPerform system integration, testing, and troubleshooting activitiesMaintain prototype component inventories and engineering development materialsMaintain tools, equipment, and laboratory inventories supporting engineering projectsRead and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentationRoute wiring and perform wire termination, crimping, and terminal block installationTest and troubleshoot electrical panels and identify faulty componentsSupport engineering teams with prototype development and automation projectsFollow all laboratory safety procedures and company safety standardsSupport additional engineering projects and initiatives as assignedRequired QualificationsAssociate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related fieldAdditional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degreeMinimum of 4 years of electro-mechanical technician experienceStrong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skillsExperience assembling, testing, and repairing electro-mechanical equipmentAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagramsExperience using: MultimetersSoldering and desoldering equipmentInspection equipmentHand tools and power toolsBasic machine shop equipmentKnowledge of standard wiring practices and electrical panel assemblyExperience troubleshooting electrical control panelsStrong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ExcelAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and organizational skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting automation equipment or automated manufacturing systemsExperience working with prototype or low-volume electro-mechanical systemsExperience supporting engineering research and development environmentsKnowledge of industrial controls, sensors, and automation equipmentExperience developing assembly and testing proceduresJob Presented by M Force PartnersM Force Partners is a specialized recruitment partner connecting top-tier talent with leading organizations.
