Audit Manager

I’m partnering with a public accounting firm seeking an Audit Manager in Miami. This opportunity is ideal for a CPA with strong external audit experience who enjoys leading engagements, developing teams, and working directly with clients. The role offers ownership of audit and assurance engagements for domestic and international clients across multiple industries.

Audit Manager

Responsibilities:

• Manage multiple external audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through final reporting.
• Develop audit strategies based on risk assessments and each client’s business environment.
• Review workpapers, financial statements, and deliverables for accuracy and compliance with professional standards.
• Oversee engagement timelines, coordinate resources, and maintain quality standards.
• Serve as a primary client contact, communicating audit progress, findings, and recommendations.
• Supervise, coach, and develop audit staff.
• Identify financial, operational, and regulatory risks while maintaining firm quality and ethics standards.

Qualifications:

• CPA Preferred not required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; master’s preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive public accounting experience, focused on external audit.
• 2–3 years managing audit engagements.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, GAAS, and audit methodologies.
• Strong client relationship, communication, and team leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and audit software.
