Attorney Position at Independent Living Systems (ILS)Independent Living Systems (ILS), along with its affiliated health plans known as Florida Community Care and Florida Complete Care, is committed to promoting a higher quality of life and maximizing independence for all vulnerable populations.We are seeking a highly skilled Attorney to join our team at Independent Living Systems (ILS). As an Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and representation to our organization on a variety of legal matters. Your primary focus will be on ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, as well as managing legal risks.

You will also be responsible for drafting and reviewing legal documents/contracts, and representing the organization in legal proceedings. Your work will have a significant impact on the success of our organization.Minimum Qualifications:Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law schoolActive license to practice law in Florida and membership in good standing of the Florida BarMinimum of 5 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on health care lawStrong knowledge of health care laws and regulationsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsPreferred Qualifications:Experience working in a large health care organizationExperience with Medicare and Medicaid regulationsExperience with health care compliance programsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamResponsibilities:Provide legal counsel and guidance to clients on a wide range of issues including contracts, compliance, litigation, and regulatory matters.Conduct detailed legal research and analysis to support case preparation and decision-making.Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements.Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and other legal proceedings.Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop case strategies and ensure clear communication throughout the legal process.Stay current with changes in laws and regulations that may impact clients or the organization.Manage case files, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely completion of legal tasks.
