Location/Schedule: Miami, FL (Hybrid)
Base Salary: $200K–$250K, depending on years
Practice: Florida high-exposure casualty, construction, products, and catastrophic-loss defense for national carriers and corporate insureds.
Our client is an AV-rated national defense firm with a Brickell office. Miami handles the same high-value book as New York — construction accidents, products, transportation, and catastrophe files — at a charge-out rate that supports $200K–$250K. This is not a South Florida volume auto shop. The firm has been hiring out of AmLaw and global defense firms.
Why You Should Join:
- $200K–$250K in Miami Defense – Above what most Florida insurance shops pay, because the files and the rate are not local-market GL.
- Catastrophe and Construction, Not Auto Volume – National trial and catastrophic-loss work out of Brickell, including multi-plaintiff and construction accidents.
- Same Platform as the New York Office – Fortune 500 and major carrier files, staffed in Miami rather than sent north.
- Laterals From Bigger Defense Brands – The firm is pulling people from AmLaw and global shops on pay and file quality.
- Hybrid Brickell, National Docket – Florida courts, with California and New York resources when a file crosses states.
What You’ll Actually Do:
- Defend construction, products, transportation, and high-exposure casualty claims in Florida state and federal court.
- Work catastrophic-loss investigations from the scene through expert depositions.
- Draft motions and prepare cases for mediation and trial.
- Report to national carriers on exposure, not just local claimants. xhqgsiq
Requirements:
- JD and active Florida bar
- 2–10 years post-bar insurance defense or complex civil litigation - current Associate, Counsel, or Partner
- Deposition experience on casualty, construction, or products files
No one fits every box perfectly - if you’re a practicing Insurance Defense attorney who wants Miami pay at $200K–$250K on serious files, let’s talk confidentially.
