Hybrid Contract Law Practice

Construction Defect Attorney | Fort Lauderdale, FL (Hybrid) – $150K

Location/Schedule: Fort Lauderdale, FL (Hybrid)

Base Salary: $150K

Practice: Junior associate seat. Florida construction defect, premises accidents on job sites, and contractor defense. Owners, GCs, subcontractors, and carriers.

Our client is an AV Preeminent defense firm with 80+ attorneys and 10 offices. The construction group covers Northeast Florida. This seat is for a junior associate who already has a bar card and wants depositions and hearings early. It is not a clerkship.

Why You Should Join:

  • Construction Defect in Fort Lauderdale, With Court Time Early – Defect, job-site injury, and contractor defense. Depositions are assigned, not watched.
  • A National Construction Group Behind a Florida File – 10 offices, so a defect case is not staffed by two people.
  • AV Preeminent Defense Platform – 80+ attorneys. You are not the only lawyer in the office.
  • $150K for a Junior Who Can Already Handle a File – Associate pay, not clerk pay.
  • A Path Past the Junior Docket – The firm tries cases. This is how people here learn to try them.

What You’ll Actually Do:

  • Defend Florida construction defect and job-site claims.
  • Draft discovery, motions, and expert disclosures.
  • Take and defend depositions as the file allows.
  • Work indemnity and additional-insured issues with the senior lawyers on the case.

Requirements:

  • JD and active Florida bar
  • 1–3 years post-bar construction, insurance defense, or civil litigation — current Associate
  • Law clerks and summer associates will not be considered
  • Drafting experience on litigation files; deposition experience is a plus, not a requirement

No one fits every box perfectly - if you’re a junior Associate with a Florida bar who wants construction defect work and $150K in Fort Lauderdale, let’s talk confidentially.
