Athletics Support StaffThe Athletic Support Staff plays an essential role in the successful operation of athletic events across multiple sports. Including volleyball, football, swim, soccer, basketball, hockey, gymnastics and lacrosse. This temporary position supports gameday operations in various capacities to ensure a positive experience for athletes, coaches, officials and spectators.Duties and ResponsibilitiesOperate scoreboard and game clockAnnounce lineups, scores, and game updatesKeep official scorebook or statisticsServe as a line judge or libero tracker for volleyballOperate shot clock for BasketballScan tickets and manage entry pointsProvide event supervision and crowd managementAssist with event setup and tear down as neededCollaborate with coaches, officials, and other event staff to ensure smooth operations.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPrevious experience in athletics, event operations, or related roles preferred, but not requiredPhysical DemandsAbility to stand for extended periods of time during eventsAbility to lift 25 pounds (equipment, supplies, etc.)Comfortable working indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditionsTolerance for loud environments and large crowdsWork EnvironmentAthletic events may be held indoors or outdoors depending on sportVarying noise levels, including loud crowd environments, music, and announcementsExposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions for outdoor sportsTeam oriented atmosphere where flexibility and quick problem solving are important.Education and/or ExperiencePrevious experience in athletics, event operations, or related roles preferred, but not requiredThis position is classified as Temporary/Seasonal and is not eligible for benefits.
Compensation is dependent on sport and position assigned for each event.
