Kamukura Surf + Dine is seeking a motivated and dependable Assistant Manager to join our management team. We are looking for someone with strong leadership skills, a positive attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent hospitality.
The Assistant Manager will support the restaurant with daily operations while working closely with both front-of-house and back-of-house team members.
- Assist with daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth, efficient service
- Supervise, support, and motivate team members during shifts
- Provide excellent customer service and assist with resolving guest concerns
- Help train and develop new and existing employees
- Monitor employee performance, attendance, and adherence to company policies
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Ensure restaurant cleanliness, organization, and food safety standards are maintained
- Assist with employee scheduling and shift coverage
- Monitor inventory and communicate product or supply needs
- Assist with cash handling, POS procedures, and daily operational reports
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house employees
- Support management with promotions, special events, and day-to-day business needs
- Step in and assist employees on the floor as needed during busy periods
- Perform other management and operational duties as assigned
- Previous restaurant, hospitality, or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Dependable, organized, and able to work well under pressure
- Strong customer-service skills and professional attitude
- Ability to lead by example and work as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
