Assistant Project ManagerA growing general contractor is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support ground-up multifamily construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This role works closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and ownership teams to help maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement, and documentation.Projects may include multifamily, affordable housing, mixed-use, podium, wrap, urban infill, and residential developments. This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to continue growing toward a Project Manager role while gaining exposure across all phases of construction.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Project Managers with day-to-day project execution from preconstruction through closeoutManage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentationCoordinate with Superintendents, subcontractors, vendors, and consultantsAssist with procurement and tracking of materials and long-lead itemsSupport budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, and financial reportingParticipate in owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and project coordination meetingsReview drawings and specifications to identify coordination issuesAssist with schedule updates, milestone tracking, and reportingSupport project closeout activities including punch lists and turnover documentationHelp maintain schedule and budget goals through proactive coordinationWork closely with field teams to ensure alignment between office and field operationsRequirements2–5+ years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar roleGround-up multifamily construction experience requiredExperience with podium, wrap, affordable housing, mixed-use, wood-frame, or urban infill projects preferredStrong understanding of scheduling, project documentation, and subcontractor coordinationAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specificationsExperience supporting procurement, budgeting, and project controls preferredStrong communication, organization, and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced environmentsCompensation & BenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid holidays and PTOVehicle allowance or reimbursement programStrong pipeline of multifamily work and long-term growth opportunities
