Our clients come from all walks of life, and so do we, making us stronger together.The Assistant Project Manager II is responsible for supporting Project Managers and Senior Project Managers with various project management tasks including participation in meetings, coordination with the scheduling and cost controls teams, evaluating changes, preparing project reports, etc. on a major airport program. The focus of the Assistant Project Manager II role will be bench testing of access control panels, boards, power supplies, and peripheral devices, as well as daily functional testing of field-installed equipment, including readers, REX devices, door contacts, and electrified hardware. Regular on-site work at the project office and Denver International Airport (3-5 days a week) will be required.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupport project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within boundaries of company policy and contract specificationsResponsible for the adherence and utilization of the JWI Playbook in delivering all projectsAssist with writing technical documents, testing plans, and proposalsProduce and review design plans, specifications, and cost estimatesServe as a positive and professional ambassador of JWI, fostering strong relationships with clients and strategic partnersShadow experienced team members to develop business development skills and deepen industry knowledgeConfer with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors to discuss work procedures, complaints and construction problems. Make recommendations to the Project Manager or own project adjustments accordinglyAssist the Project Manager to oversee project staff and job site construction activitiesAid in the investigation of potential situations, evaluate potential problems and make recommendations regarding corrective actionComplete daily, weekly, and monthly reports concerning work progress, costs and scheduling.Review project schedule; coordinate schedule updates and distribute internally and externallySchedule, attend and represent the company in project or strategy meetings.

Assemble and distribute meeting minutes in a timely fashionReview contracts and facilitate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, contractors, vendors, and subcontractors. Help negotiate professional and contractual service agreementsWork with the Project Manager to understand the financial aspects of contract(s) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the clientProvide support to the Project Manager to help ensure that project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality. Recommend opportunities for improvementManage the design process, reviewing design submissions, and ensuring compliance with project requirementsDevelop, draft, and review proposed construction plans and specifications to meet client requirementsProduce and assist in the presentation of planning and programming documents to clientIndividual Assistant Project Managers may be assigned smaller project(s) to manageEnsure the timely submission of timesheets and expense reportsPerform other duties as required/directedRequirementsA bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering, or equivalent work experience2-5 years of experience, preferably in engineering, project or construction management; construction, or aviation industries preferredWorking knowledge of low-voltage systems or electrical/electronics engineeringFamiliarity with networked security systems, including basic IP addressing, switch ports, and device connectivityAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, including floor plans, risers, one-lines, and point-to-point diagramsBasic understanding of commissioning workflows, including installation verification, functional testing, and issue trackingOSHA30 req. Current OSHA30 certification required or ability to obtain certification within 90 days of hireAbility to obtain and maintain an airport badgeTrade skill experience a plusStrong interpersonal, beginner administrative, and beginner organizational skillsEffective and timely oral and written communication skills. Proficient electronic communication abilities (email, chat, etc.)Proficient analytical and problem-solving skillsRequires active project oversight with some latitude on small decisions in a controlled environmentAbility to receive direction from superiors, balance multiple priorities, and meet deadlinesAbility to work and communicate effectively in a team environmentGeneral understanding of the cost estimating process and project financial trackingProficient while using MS Office Suite and industry related project management software (e.g.
