Assistant Project Manager – Documentation & Project Closeout / Sign-OffLocation: Northern IndianaWe are seeking Assistant Project Managers to support documentation control, project closeout, and sign-off processes for a large-scale, mission-critical data center construction program in Northern Indiana. These roles will support the Project Manager in ensuring all turnover documentation, punch lists, and completion requirements are accurately tracked, organized, and closed out in line with client expectations. The ideal candidate will be early to mid-career, highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a fast-paced mission-critical construction environment.Responsibilities:Support the Project Manager with day-to-day documentation and closeout activitiesAssist in tracking project deliverables, turnover logs, and completion status across multiple tradesHelp manage punch lists, deficiency tracking, and closure verificationCoordinate collection and organization of closeout documentation including: As-builts O&M manuals Warranties Test reports Commissioning documentationCommunicate with subcontractors to ensure timely submission of required closeout materialsAssist in maintaining digital document control systems and filing structuresSupport QA/QC and commissioning teams in verifying completion requirementsAttend coordination and closeout meetings and document action itemsHelp track project sign-off requirements and client deliverable milestonesIdentify missing or incomplete documentation and follow up with responsible partiesSupport final turnover packages and client handover preparationQualifications:2–5+ years of experience in construction, project coordination, or document control (internship experience considered)Exposure to commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction projects preferredStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and deadlines across several project workstreamsGood communication skills and willingness to work with field and office teamsBasic understanding of construction documentation processes is a plusProficiency with Procore, Aconex, BIM 360, or similar platforms preferredDegree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred but not requiredPreferred Backgrounds:Candidates may come from general contractors, construction management firms, commissioning teams, or project support roles within large-scale construction programs.Experience supporting data center or mission-critical projects is highly desirable.What We're Looking For:We are seeking motivated and detail-focused Assistant Project Managers who want to build a long-term career in mission-critical construction.
