General Description (Purpose and Function): is seeking a fellowship-trained surgeon to join our Primary Duties and Responsibilities (For-exempt Employees Include Percent of Effort):Job responsibilities include participation in clinical and educational activities as they relate to the Division of Surgical Oncology and the Department of Surgery with a special emphasis on gastrointestinal cancer as following: Oversees outcomes, quality, and patient experience for the program Work with hospital personnel to obtain all mutually agreed upon program designations of distinctionKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatments Effective verbal and written communication skills along with proper telephone etiquette duties Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):Applicants should have a strong commitment to patient care and education and an interest in clinical research. Bachelor's degree in pre-medicine or related field, followed by 4 years in medical school and additional residency and fellowship specialty training.**Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):**3 – 5 years post fellowship clinical experience in the field of gastrointestinal surgical oncology preferred**Responsibilities/Qualifications** is seeking a fellowship-trained surgeon to join our surgical team.
