Salary: $120,000 + 5-10% bonus

Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager Responsibilities

  • Oversee full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

  • Manage and develop accounting staff across AP, AR, cost accounting, and general accounting

  • Lead manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis

  • Review material, labor, overhead, purchase price, scrap, and production variances

  • Support external audits and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

  • Oversee inventory reconciliations, E&O reserves, and working capital metrics

  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure planning, and process improvement initiatives

  • Serve as a key business partner to leadership and help improve financial and operational performance

Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

  • Progressive accounting experience with strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience

  • Full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end close and reconciliations

  • Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff

  • Strong standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis knowledge

  • Experience with external audits, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

  • Strong Excel and financial modeling skills

  • ERP experience required; manufacturing ERP experience is a plus

  • Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills

  • Collaborative, adaptable leader who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and taking ownership
