Salary: $120,000 + 5-10% bonus

Assistant Controller/Accounting Manager Responsibilities

Oversee full-cycle accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting

Manage and develop accounting staff across AP, AR, cost accounting, and general accounting

Lead manufacturing cost accounting, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis

Review material, labor, overhead, purchase price, scrap, and production variances

Support external audits and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting

Oversee inventory reconciliations, E&O reserves, and working capital metrics

Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Sales, and Customer Service

Support budgeting, forecasting, capital expenditure planning, and process improvement initiatives

Serve as a key business partner to leadership and help improve financial and operational performance
Assistant Controller / Accounting Manager Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Progressive accounting experience with strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience

Full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end close and reconciliations

Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff

Strong standard costing, inventory accounting, and variance analysis knowledge

Experience with external audits, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

Strong Excel and financial modeling skills

ERP experience required; manufacturing ERP experience is a plus

Strong communication and cross-functional partnership skills

Collaborative, adaptable leader who is comfortable wearing multiple hats and taking ownership
