The Division of Hematology, Oncology & Transplantation (HOT) at the University of Minnesota Medical School, in partnership with the Masonic Cancer Center (an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center), is seeking a visionary faculty physician with expertise in non‑malignant (benign) hematology. The position is available at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor on the academic or clinician track (non‑tenure). Candidates are expected to provide exceptional patient care, conduct innovative research, and mentor the next generation of hematologists.

Responsibilities

• Deliver compassionate and expert clinical care to patients with benign hematologic disorders in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Develop and/or lead clinical trials, translational studies, or lab‑based investigations.
• Contribute actively to medical education and training programs across the medical school’s continuum.
• Support multidisciplinary teams and advocate for growth in classical hematology services.
• Engage with institutional and national partners to advance research, care models, and population outcomes in non‑malignant hematology.

Qualifications

• M.D. or equivalent; Board Eligible/Board Certified in Hematology.
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care of patients with benign hematologic disorders.
• Strong teaching skills and enthusiasm for academic medicine.
• Evidence of research productivity or a strong interest in developing an academic focus (clinical, translational, or basic science).
• Eligible for medical licensure and credentialing in Minnesota.
• Specialized expertise in hemostasis/thrombosis, red cell disorders, hemoglobinopathies, gene therapy, TTP, complement disorders, rare diseases, or clinical trial development is strongly encouraged.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $270,000–$465,407 (combined salary between the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians).

Time Appointment: 100% Appointment.

Position Type: Faculty and P&A Staff.
