AssemblerThis role focuses on assembling mirror components for the bus and trucking industry in a fast-paced assembly line environment. You will work with plastic components, hand tools, and power tools to build high-quality parts, perform visual inspections to ensure quality standards, and help maintain a clean and organized workspace.ResponsibilitiesAssemble mirrors and related components for bus and trucking applications on an assembly line.Attach mirrors to plastic components following established work instructions and quality standards.Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently throughout the shift to complete assembly tasks.Read and use a tape measure accurately to ensure proper dimensions and fit of assembled parts.Perform visual inspections on completed parts to verify quality, identify defects, and ensure compliance with specifications.Conduct light wire assembly work on dead wires as part of the overall mirror assembly process.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including regular housekeeping of the work area.Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets while maintaining consistent quality.Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures related to tools, equipment, and assembly processes.Collaborate with team members and supervisors to resolve minor issues and improve assembly processes.Essential SkillsHands-on experience using hand tools in a production or assembly environment.Hands-on experience using power tools safely and effectively during assembly work.Ability to lift up to 30 pounds repeatedly during the shift.Ability to read and interpret a tape measure accurately.General labor experience in a light industrial or production setting.Experience working on an assembly line or in a high-volume production environment.Consistent work history demonstrating reliability and good tenure.Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints or basic technical drawings.Previous assembly experience in manufacturing or production.Familiarity with quality checks and visual inspection processes.Comfort working with light wire assembly tasks.Why Work Here?This opportunity offers a stable, structured environment with consistent hours and overtime potential, allowing you to grow your skills in mechanical assembly and production. The primary shift is first shift, Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with Friday reserved for overtime as needed. You will regularly use hand tools and power tools and perform light wire assembly work. The environment emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and organization, with expectations to maintain a tidy work area throughout the day. Typical attire includes practical, work-appropriate clothing suitable for a production floor where manual handling and tool use are part of the daily routine.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elkhart, IN.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
