Wiring AssemblerContinental Electronics Corporation is a leading provider of RF technologies and innovative solutions with 80 years of proven performance. CEC has experienced significant recent growth and has established itself as the go-to supplier for a diversified product line supporting a wide spectrum of markets from commercial products, military customers, to space research laboratories.The primary function of the Wiring Assembler is to provide a variety of electronic and mechanical assembly tasks, eager to learn and grow as a versatile assembler.You will be using general tools such as soldering irons, cutters, wrenches, luggers, component bending tools, power tools and screwdrivers, vacuum equipment, heat guns, tie wrap guns, crimpers, crimping machines and possibly others. (Required to provide own/personal tools)M-F 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (some extended hours may be required from time to time) & some Saturdays Hourly, non-exemptLocation - need to be willing to work in both Dallas and Richardson depending on the assignments given. Eventually, we will only be in Richardson at 1401 E Lookout Drive.ResponsibilitiesPerform a variety of diverse electronic or mechanical production assembly tasks meeting with a consistent level of high skill, knowledge and versatility meeting high quality expectationsSolder, assemble, route and secure wiring/cables into subassemblies such as panels and cabinetsWork with hand tools and specialty tools as requiredPerform rework resulting from drawing change noticesCross-train as back-up in other areas of the manufacturing plantDevelop working knowledge of the production environmentComply with manufacturing code of conductPrioritize safety, quality, accuracy, and reliability of work performedUphold the company's core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and TeamworkDemonstrate behavior consistent with the company's Code of Ethics and ConductIt is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problemDuties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the businessQualificationsMinimum of 2 years related wiring assembly experienceExperience with electromechanical panel wiring, cabinet wiring, PLCs onto panel enclosures, wire routingUse and operate various computer systems and applicable software (such as retrieving work instructions or manufacturing module in ERP system)Ability to follow technical drawings and assembly instructions and processes to assemble cables to manufacturing and industry specificationsMust be work driven and goal-orientedMust work well with others and follow given instructionsGain the trust and respect of others3-4 years wiring assembly experienceFamiliarity and Certification of IPC 610 & 620 or J-Standards-001Awareness of Lean 6Sigma processesThis position works in a production environment with the risk of injury so some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the shop.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations.Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
