Assembler 2As an Assembler 2 at MKS Instruments, you will play a key role in building high-quality electronic and electro-mechanical products that support our customers around the world. Working from detailed work instructions, drawings, and specifications, you'll assemble complex products, identify opportunities for process improvements, and collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing to ensure products are built accurately and delivered on time.You Will Make an Impact By:Complex Assembly: Assemble electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical products, including wiring, component installation, and final assemblies while following detailed work instructions and engineering documentation.Quality & Workmanship: Inspect your work throughout the assembly process, identify discrepancies, and ensure products meet quality standards before moving to the next operation.Documentation & Process Compliance: Accurately complete production documentation, record non-conformances when needed, and follow established manufacturing procedures, drawings, and revision-controlled work instructions.Continuous Improvement: Support process improvements by identifying assembly challenges, providing feedback on documentation, and working with Engineering and Manufacturing to improve quality, efficiency, and manufacturability.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Engineering, Quality, and fellow production team members to resolve production issues, support new product introductions, and meet production schedules.Workplace Organization & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while properly caring for tools, equipment, and materials in accordance with company safety and 6S practices.Skills You Bring:Education: High school diploma or equivalent.Experience: 2+ years of experience in electronic, electro-mechanical, or mechanical assembly in a manufacturing environment.Technical Skills: Proficiency in reading assembly drawings, work instructions, and schematics; experience with hand tools.Problem Solving: Ability to identify assembly issues, troubleshoot basic production challenges, and recommend practical solutions.Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy, quality, and workmanship while consistently meeting production expectations.Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with team members, Engineering, Quality, and supervisors to resolve issues and support production goals.Preferred Skills:IPC-610 CertificationExperience assembling complex electronic products.Familiarity with electronic production documentation.Continuous improvement or Lean manufacturing experience.Physical Demands and Working Conditions: Ability to sit or stand for extended periods, perform repetitive assembly tasks, use hand tools and soldering equipment, and lift to 50 lbs. Ability to work with small components requires fine motor skills and visual attention to detail.Compensation and Benefits:Pay Range: $16.70 - 27.83 per hour.
This range is a good faith estimate of the expected salary range for this position, based on a wide range of factors including qualifications, experience and training, operational and business needs and other considerations permitted by law.
