Asbestos & Lead Project ManagerTerraphase Engineering is seeking an Asbestos and Lead Project Manager to join our growing team in our Wilmington, Delaware office. In this role, you will manage hazardous building materials, industrial hygiene, and environmental consulting projects while serving as a trusted advisor to clients. You will oversee technical investigations, manage project schedules and budgets, mentor junior staff, and help deliver high quality solutions that protect human health and the environment.The RoleEnsure health and safety is the number one goal by following company policies, procedures, and safe work practices at all timesManage asbestos, lead based paint, mold, indoor air quality, and industrial hygiene projects from proposal through completionPerform and oversee asbestos, lead based paint, mold, and indoor air quality assessmentsCoordinate multimedia sample collection and maintain accurate chain of custody documentationManage abatement and remediation monitoring projects, ensuring compliance with applicable regulationsPrepare and review technical reports, data, and project documentationSupport environmental projects involving soil and groundwater sampling, remediation oversight, and construction safety monitoringManage project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, and client communicationsBuild and maintain strong relationships with clients while supporting business development opportunitiesCommunicate effectively with regulators, clients, contractors, and project stakeholdersMentor junior staff and provide technical guidance throughout project executionWho You AreBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Public Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred2+ years of experience managing or supporting hazardous building materials or environmental consulting projectsStrong knowledge of federal and state regulations related to asbestos, lead based paint, mold, and indoor air qualityExperience preparing technical reports and proficiency with Microsoft Office applicationsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work independently and collaboratively within a team environmentGeneral understanding of building construction is a plusGood mechanical aptitude is a plusComfortable working in both office and field environmentsValid driver's license with a clean driving recordWillingness to travel throughout Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, and PennsylvaniaAbility to occasionally work evenings and weekends as project needs requirePreferred Licenses and CertificationsEPA and/or state licensed Asbestos Building Inspector and/or City of Philadelphia Asbestos InvestigatorDelaware Certified Project Monitor and/or City of Philadelphia Asbestos Project InspectorDelaware Certified Lead Inspector or Lead Risk AssessorMold or Indoor Air Quality inspection or mitigation certificationsOSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtainWillingness to maintain annual medical monitoring and OSHA certifications at company expense
