BMF Mod's initiative will modernize IRS systems and processes, improve taxpayer experience, increase voluntary compliance, and reduce the Service's reliance on costly and unsustainable legacy technology.Task Description:Provide support and assistance to design, development, integrate, test, and deploy a modernized BMF platform and support day-to-day Operations & Maintenance (O&M) work based on IRS priorities. Provide for project management, O&M, development, modernization, enhancements, software development, legislative changes, and developmental O&M upgrades.Required skills/Level of Experience:At least 15 years of experience with Architectural frameworks and how to design applicationsExperience developing physical and logical architecture, leveraging client template/processAt least 15 years of work experience demonstrating knowledge of z/OS, Assembly Language, DB2, QSAM, IMS, CA Endevor, BMC Control-M, JCL and other core IBM mainframe technologies.Nice to have skills:Active IRS MBI Clearance Highly DesirableRequired Skills:Java, Mainframe programming and MigrationZ/OSUnderstanding Modernization ApproachesUnderstanding Cloud Technologies (AWS, Azure)Understanding Application analysis toolsStrong communication skills.To be considered for work, a candidate must be either a U.S. citizen or permanent resident alien (no H1 visa holders).
