Henrico Doctors' Hospital, a newly designated Level II Trauma Center in Richmond, VA, is seeking a skilled Anesthesiologist to join their growing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a comprehensive hospital system experiencing increased obstetric and surgical case volumes. Practice Info

  • Community hospital with 340 beds
  • Features around-the-clock pediatric and adult emergency room care
  • Home to the Virginia Institute of Robotic Surgery Center, The Heart Center at Henrico Doctors', Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, Primary Stroke Center, Women’s Hospital, and the Virginia Transplant Center
  • Provides coverage to Retreat Doctors’ Hospital, Parham Doctors’ Hospital, and five ambulatory surgical centers
  • Case assignments include General, OB, Hearts, Peds, ortho, endo, GYN
  • The same local anesthesia practice has served Henrico Doctors’ Hospital for over 40 years

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
  • Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
  • Pre-anesthesia assessment
  • Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
  • Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
  • Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
  • Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
  • Performance of clinical intervention as needed

Compensation

  • Salary: $500,000
  • Sign-on: $100,000

Requirements

  • M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
  • ECFMG and FLEX
  • Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
  • Currently licensed as a physician
