- Features around-the-clock pediatric and adult emergency room care
- Home to the Virginia Institute of Robotic Surgery Center, The Heart Center at Henrico Doctors', Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, Primary Stroke Center, Women’s Hospital, and the Virginia Transplant Center
- Provides coverage to Retreat Doctors’ Hospital, Parham Doctors’ Hospital, and five ambulatory surgical centers
- Case assignments include General, OB, Hearts, Peds, ortho, endo, GYN
- The same local anesthesia practice has served Henrico Doctors’ Hospital for over 40 years
Responsibilities
- Assist in the directing and coordinating of activities in the Anesthesia Department
- Responsible for the medical management of patients who are rendered unconscious and/or insensible to pain and emotional stress during surgery and other medical procedures
- Pre-anesthesia assessment
- Obtains and/or verifies patient consent
- Discuss anesthetic options and risks with the patient
- Induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Monitoring of the patient's physiological condition
- Performance of clinical intervention as needed
Compensation
- Salary: $500,000
- Sign-on: $100,000

Requirements
- M.D./D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine
- ECFMG and FLEX
- Completion of approved residency in anesthesia
- Currently licensed as a physician
