The selected candidate will have demonstrated leadership qualities, the ability to work as a team member or independently, and the desire to learn new skills and areas of expertise.In this role you'll:Participate in planning, design, and construction of airfield lighting and navigational aid projectsPerform electrical related design tasks or projects in support of project and design managersTypical projects require preparation of bidding documents (plans & specifications) including lighting layout, power distribution, lighting controls, electrical facilities, airfield navigational aids, signage, coordination with other disciplines, quantity takeoffs, design reports, cost estimates, and construction schedulingPerform, assist or oversee construction-related tasks including on-site construction observation and project engineeringHere's what you'll needBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)Ability to communicate thoughts and technical ideas in an accessible way, both in person and in writingAttitude of taking independent initiative, exhibiting creative problem-solving, eagerness to learn, while remaining dedicated to teamworkMinimum 5 years of aviation electrical engineering experience with demonstrated technical design of airfield ground lighting, navigational aids, lighting controls, and electrical infrastructure projects including electrical design engineering reports and specifications.Understanding and implementation of FAA Advisory Circulars and UFC criteriaConstruction support, including review of RFIs and material submittals. Preparation of RFQs, field orders, and change orders. Field observation/site visits will be required as needed.Demonstrated skill and a working knowledge of Autodesk Civil 3DExperience in Microsoft OfficeLicensed Professional EngineerExperience performing voltage drop, available fault current, and arc-flash calculations is a plus.Posted Salary Range: Minimum 132,900.00 Posted Salary Range: Upper 155,000.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
