Aerostructures Engineer OpportunityHEICO Repair Group Aerostructures, a recognized leader in the repair and overhaul of aircraft structural components, is currently looking for an Engineer to join our team.The Engineer is responsible for the evaluation, design, and approval of repairs for aircraft components, including nacelles, thrust reversers, flight control surfaces, and radomes. This position plays a key role in developing FAA-approved 8110 repairs. The Engineer will generate data and perform analysis, collaborating with other engineers, the Quality Control department, and production teams to ensure compliance and airworthiness.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate damaged aircraft components and determine repair feasibilityDevelop repair solutions, including drawings, instructions, and reportsPerform analysis to substantiate repairsGenerate and compile data for FAA approvalInterpret OEM manuals, engineering drawings, and certification requirementsLead root cause analysis and failure investigationsEnsure all repairs comply with company procedures and FAA regulationsSupport improvement and develop new repair proceduresSkills / Education and ExperienceBachelor's Degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fieldMust be able to read, speak, and write in EnglishKnowledge on FAA regulations and processes preferredExperience working with OEM manuals preferredExperience with CAD softwareUnderstanding of materials, stress analysis, and repair design principlesKnowledge of composite repair methods preferredMust have strong problem solving and communication skillsMust be able to manage different projects at a time and meet deadlinesPhysical DemandsAbility to sit or stand for extended periodsMust be able to lift up to 30lbsCapability to work in a shop environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to mechanical equipmentThis is a great position for someone who loves challenges, a chance to learn an exciting business, and looking for an opportunity to move up in a successful company.HEICO Corporation offers competitive compensation and excellent benefits:Health & Dental insurance401(k) with company matchDisability & Life insuranceFlexible spending accountsPaid time off and paid holidays
