The Advanced Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates nuclear medicine imaging equipment to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment.

They ensure radiation safety, maintain high-quality imaging standards, and communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate specialized imaging equipment proficiently.
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety standards, including ALARA and NRC regulations.
  • Maintain accurate protocols and make necessary adjustments.
  • Prioritize patient care, safety, and effective communication.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Sciences Program in Nuclear Medicine with clinical hours completed.
  • At least one year of relevant experience.
  • Licensure as required by state; NMTCB or ARRT (N); BLS certification.
  • Knowledge of biohazard safety, radiation safety, and protocols.
  • Strong decision-making, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift, push, or pull 50 lbs regularly, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform tasks involving reaching, bending, kneeling, twisting, and squatting.
