This full-time RN position supports both Med/Surg and ED in a community-based facility near Topeka.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to patients in Med/Surg and ED
Assess patients and develop individualized care plans
Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments
Monitor vital signs, labs, diagnostics, and patient responses
Recognize changes and respond to urgent or emergent situations
Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Follow infection-control, patient safety, and quality-care standards
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care throughout the patient experience
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited RN program
Active Kansas RN license or NLC multistate license
BLS certification required
ACLR certification required or preferred
PALS, TNCC, or other emergency nursing certifications highly valued
Previous Med/Surg, Emergency, Acute Care, or Critical Access Hospital experience strongly preferred
Strong assessment, critical-thinking, and clinical decision-making skills
Ability to work effectively and confidently in urgent and rapidly changing clinical situations
Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills
Preferred Skills:
ACLR certification preferred
