Accounting Manager / Senior Accounting ManagerA leading Japanese travel company is seeking an experienced and bilingual Accounting professional to join our team in Oahu, Hawaii. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who can oversee accounting operations, support financial reporting, and collaborate with both U.S. and Japan-based stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end closePrepare and review financial statements and management reportsEnsure compliance with U.S.

accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policiesCoordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate headquarters in JapanManage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reportingLead and mentor accounting staff while improving operational processes and internal controlsSupport business planning and financial analysis for management decision-makingCollaborate cross-functionally with operations and travel business teamsOther duties may be assigned as neededQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, preferred7+ years of Finance & Accounting experience, preferred5+ years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferredBusiness-level bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese (spoken and written)Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reportingExperience working in an international or Japanese company environment is preferredExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skillsProficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
