This Accounting Manager Consultant will report directly to the Controller and play a key role in leading and improving financial close activities within a SAP S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong month-end close experience, a process improvement mindset, SAP S/4HANA expertise, and a CPA or CPA-track background.
Responsibilities
- Support and help lead month-end and year-end close activities
- Partner directly with the Controller to enhance close processes, controls, and efficiency
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
- Analyze financial data and investigate variances
- Leverage SAP S/4HANA to perform accounting and reporting functions
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies within the close cycle
- Assist with financial reporting and special projects as needed
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely and accurate financial information
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA designation strongly preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Prior experience supporting or leading financial close activities
- Strong SAP S/4HANA experience required
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently while partnering effectively with leadership
