Ideal candidate skills include:Enjoy working hard and pursues everything with energy and has a drive and need to finishHas a strong ethic of accountability and dedication to the jobHas functional and technical knowledge and skills to do the job at a high level of accomplishmentBe a team member that is easy to approach and talk to-builds rapport wellProvides excellent customer service to internal and external customersListens and communicates effectively and professionally both verbal and in writingUses time effectively to meet deadlinesConcentrates efforts on most important prioritiesHigher level of complex responsibilityEssential Duties· Post rent collections and adjustments as needed *· Review tenant activity in accounting software for accuracy. *· Post rent corrections or adjustments as needed in the accounting software *· Communicate with Site Managers regarding tenant ledgers, payment status and account discrepancies *· Investigate and resolve short payments, unapplied cash and invoice disputes *· Reconcile the tenant ledgers to maintain accurate receivable records for each property *· Reconcile both the HAP and Tenant Side of each ledger *· Bi-weekly payroll processing including checking cash balances for available funds *· Downloading miscellaneous bank statements *· Researching bank and payroll JEs for others *· Timely processing of security deposit dispositions (Move out packets) to include review of required documents *· Set up bank transfers *· Post security deposit payments into the accounting software *· Prepare & post various journal entries. *· Reconcile bank accounts.
*· Assist with quarterly and annual accounting reports *· Train and assist with new accounting employees *· Provide training to new hires on accounting software during new hire orientation *· Acts in the capacity of support for compliance, portfolio managers, and/or upper management involving challenging issues surrounding HUD and or RD subsidies *· Performs other duties as assigned. *Qualifications and Physical DemandsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
