Based in Danbury, CT this is an in person and hands-on role that will challenge you both technically and creatively.
You will be provided the opportunity to expand beyond accounting and finance to other business areas, working alongside some of the most prolific thinkers of our age in engineering and operations. This is an excellent opportunity to get in on the ground floor, with an innovative and exciting growth company poised for success!Responsibilities:AccountingMonthly, quarterly and annual reporting and reconciliation in QuickBooks including journal entries for accrual accountingCategorize purchase orders and invoices by project / expenseYear end audit to GAAP complianceAnnual tax returns for the company and annual 1099 filingsAssist with the controls of the company including purchase order process, budget, and receivablesPrepare variance analysis to budgetManage BookkeeperFinanceFinancial planning and analysis – assist with the financial forecasting, perform research and analysis, and prepare reportsPreparation of the annual budgetPresentation materials for Board of Directors, investors and strategic partnersMaintain cap table including options, financing rounds, etc.Assist the CFO in fund-raising activitiesHuman ResourcesAssist with Human Resource functions for the companyCoordinate the collection of staff time sheetsOther tasks as required from time to timeQualifications:Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting; at least 2 years at an accounting firm and 2 years in corporateQuickBooks Enterprise experience requiredProficiency in Microsoft Office – PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and OutlookHighly organized, detail-oriented, and works with a high degree of accuracyAbility to multitask and meet challenging deadlinesSelf-directed and able to complete projects with limited supervisionExcellent oral and written communication skillsTeam-oriented personality with a desire to provide high-quality serviceHigh energy, and able to work autonomouslyRelevant college degreeCadenza Innovation, Inc. is an emerging energy storage company answering the call for safer, longer-lasting Lithium-ion batteries – today.
